ABOUT THE ARTIST

Edera Muscat a Maltese artist based in Malta. Her work is focused on the exploration of everyday themes, with the aim of capturing and depicting day to day life. Her process is a self-explorative one, which includes experimenting with a variety of styles of oil painting. Muscat gives importance to the human aspect, and each work varies in technique depending on the subjects. Her work aims to capture their reality through a second-hand perspective, formulated through the relationship between subject and artist.
While Muscat is currently exploring the painting medium, she does not want to be restricted by a niche and would like to express herself in other forms of art, especially that of ceramics and sculpture.
